Add recurring pending transactions
I spend way too much time putting in the same monthly payments (mostly auto-drafts from my checking account like my car payments, insurance, home security, etc.) and it would really be nice to schedule those as recurring payments. It would also be great if I could choose when they show up in the pending register!

Improve speed and performance of the application
The application is slow, particularly when loading in and refreshing account information. Can you please enhance the performance of the system.

We are actively researching Adobe’s updates to their RIA Flex technologies to make the user experience and speed of the application better and plan to upgrade in the future.
We also have ongoing efforts to upgrade and improve our backend systems to help deliver a better and faster response time.

Add an "archive" envelope group for old envelopes
I set up some envelopes that have a limited duration, for example, a specific loan or a discretionary bill category that I'm only funding for a while. When I don't need the envelope anymore I'd like to be able to edit the envelope and click an "archive" checkbox. This would move the envelope to the archive group in the tree view and remove it from the funding window and the spending plan. However, it would keep which group it came from and all the historical transactions for reports and such. If I ever uncheck "archive" it would go right back… more

Make credit card transactions easier to do and understand
There have always been a lot of people confused over how credit card transactions work. Many of us get confused and our balances get messed up. Please make this easier.

Have a biweekly Spending Plan view
I would find it a lot more useful if my spending plan could be set up to be biweekly instead of monthly. My wife and I get paid biweekly and, as such, the month-by-month budgeting tools are not very useful to us.

Add a Calendar
Could you add a calendar for reference on the home page, or as a button? That would make it much easier to assess income and bill paying.

Allow some form of Alerts
I would like to see some kind of notification service, whereby some notification, or "alert" is sent, by Email or SMS, when any of the following are set up by the user:
-- actual spending exceeds planned spending in some envelope
-- the balance in a checking or savings "source" account drops below some amount
-- the balance in a credit card "source" account exceeds some amount
-- the "due date" for payment of a bill approaches233 votes -
Open up access to data via an API
Every "great" web application does it. Open up access to data to developers and watch your community grow by leaps and bounds. Many of the requests seen here on this site could be solved by user applications (like an iphone app, data exporting, better web interface, better reporting with graphs) and would let your developers focus on core application fixes and improvements.

We are very excited to pre-announce to the UserVoice forum the development of an API and the Finicity Software Partner Program. This has not been announced via the newswire because we don’t have a web site up and are really only in the beginning stages of creating our API and our software partner strategy. We do, however, want you to know that we hear you (this forum works!) and know that a strategy that enables other software developers to build and sell (or give away) apps that leverage our services is a good move for Finicity.
So if you have an interest in building a Finicity Money Manager app for mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm, Linux…) or for one of the social networks (Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin…) or one of the portals (iGoogle, My Yahoo!…), or for any other internet device that we haven’t even thought of (e-purse,… more

Net Worth Tracking Report
A report showing the progress of "net worth" over a period defined by the user. It would be awesome if it were a snazzy graph or chart that shows your net worth for any given month and how much your money has increased or decreased over time.

Download Pending Transactions
My bank takes a long time in some cases to move Pending transactions into cleared transactions. It would really save time and help stay up to date if those transactions were downloaded the Pending transaction area.

Envelope Loans
If I overspend in one area, and I simply transfer funds from one envelope to another, it's an easy way to not hold myself accountable to my budget long term. Additionally, from a funding perspective it always looks like I funded $100 to Groceries even if I later transferred those funds to "random unnecessary envelope".
On the other hand, if I could simply "loan" money from one envelope to another, I stay accountable even for my overspending. If I "loan" $100 from my grocery budget to household repair, I would be able to see next period that my household repair… more

Set a maximum envelope funding goal
There are envelopes that shouldn't be funded any more money once they reach a goal amount. If that amount is reached then automatic funding should stop and the money should remain in the income cash pool or be prompted for where to spend the "extra". The envelope should be noted somehow that it is a "goal reached" envelope - turn it green or something.

Android app
Android is the top-growing smart-phone in the US... take a look at the PayPal android app, which is very well done ... would be nice to see a mvelopes app at that same level of quality.

Add a better interface for working with Funding Profiles
The current method of working with Funding Profiles is not intuitive. You have actually (1) start a Funding process, (2) select the radio button for "Fund using a saved profile", (3) and then select the appropriate Funding Profile via the drop down list. At this point you can actually edit (i.e., change $ values in the boxes) and then click Save Profile. This will prompt you for the name to use to save this particular profile. After saving the profile, you will need to Cancel out of the Fund process that you originally started just to be able to edit… more

Envelope Notes
It would be nice if you could add more detailed information about each envelope. This would be useful in calculating individual information that make up the entire amount in the envelope.

Add better reporting with ability to search all fields.
It would be wonderful to be able perform wildcard searches not only for the "Payee" but for all fields.

Add ability to associate an envelope with an account.
It would be nice to be able to associate an envelope with the account that should hold those funds. Say you want your vacation envelope in savings and you just purchased plane tickets with you credit card, when you assign that transaction to the Vacation envelope something in Mvelopes should suggest transfering $xxx from Savings to the account associated with the Money For credit card envelope (probably checking).
Any time you spend money in one account and assign it to an envelope associated with a different account it would be added to the suggested Transfer list.
